The Guides had some fun activity days over the holidays. First up was joining the Cheshire Wildlife Trust at Red Rocks Reserve for beach activities and a nature scavenge hunt. Eleanor won the hunt and earned a super prize.
Then we headed to Ness Gardens for their activity day. The Guides enjoyed the archery and watched the owl display before they crawled through a cave and climbed a wall. They also enjoyed exploring the gardens.
A World Cultures day included sampling Eastern Mediterranean foods, trying new crafts, and learning to draw Mehindi patterns in henna on our hands.
A multiskills morning included what to do if someone's clothes are on fire; how to lay a table for formal dinner, and how to hoist a flag. Then we walked to Hoylake and spent the afternoon painting pottery.
Finally a few Guides set off to Wellies and Wristbands, a girls-only Festival in Lancashire, where we enjoyed bands on the festival stage in the evenings, and a huge range of activities in the daytimes, including caving, crafts, football, science, giant inflatables, first aid training and hot tubs!
